When you come into Victoria Park Dental for your first appointment, we like to spend some time getting to know more about you and your dental health.
We start with a basic examination, so we can check the state of your teeth and gums, and you can ask questions or bring up any concerns. This is also a great time for us to discuss any potential treatments that could be done now, or in the future.
We’ll talk about your oral history, and make a few notes about any previous dental work -- fillings, crowns, or bridges -- as well as any previous orthodontic work -- braces or retainers. It’s good for us to have a clear understanding of your oral health up to this point, so we can better serve you over the coming years.
We’ll also do a quick set of X-rays, so we can take a detailed look at all of the components of your smile. We like to have recent X-rays on file for each of our patients, so we have them as a reference point if anything changes in the future.
Once this visit is complete, you’re officially one of our regular patients -- and we’re glad to have you! If you ever have any questions or concerns, let us know right away and we’ll be pleased to help.
